Race 2: Tench (#5)

  • The Pace Projector is predicting that he’s fast enough to make the lead here.
  • Is bred to handle turf as a half-brother to turf winner Coltrane and other siblings who preferred turf.
  • Has been working well over the Oklahoma turf course recently.

Race 3: Krewe Chief (#2)

  • Was extremely wide around both turns last time, costing him his best chance.
  • Should appreciate the stretch-out, since he’s run well going this distance before.
  • Gets a needed drop in class since he’s just not capable of competing at the N2X level.

5-2 on ML

Race 8: Bulletin (#7)

  • With Performer expected to scratch, he could be in a position to control the pace.
  • May have run back too soon in the William Walker off his big return effort at Keeneland.
  • Is bred to handle the distance as a half-brother to Grade 1-winning dirt router Tiz Miz Sue.

5-2 on ML

———

Race 9: Mo Gotcha (#1)

  • Looks and runs like a horse who is supposed to relish this 9-furlong distance.
  • Was compromised by a wide trip against a rail bias two back.
  • The Pace Projector is predicting that he’s fast enough to be on the lead in a situation favoring the front-runner.

5-1 on ML
