Aqueduct Horses in Focus for Thursday, April 11

Race 4: My Galina (#3)

  • Sold for a hefty sum as a weanling and is bred to be a sprinter.
  • Has worked very well over the turf course down at Palm Meadows and seems ready for a top effort on debut.
  • Jorge Abreu gets a 90 TimeformUS Trainer Rating with first time starters.

3-1 on ML

Race 5: Tiergan (#4)

  • Chased wide for the second half of that Feb. 7 race over a track that was favoring the inside path.
  • Ran better than it seems two back when he had some trouble going a sprint distance.
  • Appears to still have upside in a race where others may be regressing.

9-2 on ML

———

Race 6: Adara Belle (#5)

  • Got extremely rank in the early going of the Sweetest Chant, fighting her rider before stopping on the far turn.
  • Took money in that U.S. debut, suggesting that she was somewhat live that day.
  • Should appreciate the return to sprinting given that she was best going 6 furlongs in France last year.

6-1 on ML
