Belmont Park Horses in Focus for Monday, October 8th

Race 2: Style and Grace (#2)

The way she ran in her first two dirt starts suggests that she should appreciate added ground.

Drew an advantageous inside post position over a course that has been favoring horses on the rail.

4-1 on ML

Race 3: Blacktype (#4)

Established that he could be effective racing on the front end last time, and is likely to find himself in the same position here.

Runs well over turf courses with some give to them.

Loves Belmont Park, having earned 6 of his 9 turf wins over this course.

4-1 on ML

Race 5: Perfect Kind (#4)

May have made her move too soon last time in her first start over a route distance.

Showed real ability in her debut when closing from a hopeless position to get up for third in a fast race.

Should find herself with the lead on the rail, which has been a formula for success recently on the Belmont turf.

3-1 on ML

Race 9: Lonely Road (#2)

Drew a great post position towards the inside and has a rider that has been very aware of the “gold rail” on the turf.

Christophe Clement gets a 97 TimeformUS Trainer Rating with horses going from dirt to turf.

Is bred to handle grass as a daughter of accomplished turf horse Lonesome Town.

15-1 on ML
