Saratoga Horses in Focus for Thursday, August 30th

Race 1: Gypsy Jo (#4)

Got the wrong trip last time out, as she was shuffled back early, raced in tight quarters, and had to steady at the quarter pole.

This time, the TimeformUS Pace Projector is predicting that she will be on the lead in a situation favoring the front-runner.

Proved that she’s good enough to compete with these when earning a 104 TimeformUS Speed Figure for her maiden win.

8-1 on ML

Race 3: Bramble Queen (#4)

The Pace Projector is predicting a situation favoring horses on or near the lead, and she figures to be sitting just off Radiant Beauty early.

Mike Dini has a solid record with the horses that he races at NYRA, as they often outrun their odds.

Moves back into straight 3-year-old company after beating older horses last time out.

4-1 on ML

Race 8: Stonefactor (#12)

Has the right rider for this situation, as Kendrick Carmouche will take advantage of her ample early speed.

Should appreciate the very firm turf course, as she did well over similar ground when she broke her maiden.

She wants to go as short as possible, so this 5 1/2 furlong distance is perfect.

7-2 on ML

Race 9: Miss Technicality (#4)

Was visually impressive in her debut, as she easily ran past the leaders under a hand ride.

The third-place finisher came back to win a maiden race going long at this meet.

Is bred to handle the stretch-out, since her dam is a half-sister to 10-furlong Personal Ensign winner Persistently.

4-1 on ML
