Belmont Park Horses in Focus for Saturday, May 26th

Race 4: All Clear (#2)

The Pace Projector is predicting that he will be on the lead in a situation favoring the front-runner.

Ran fast enough in his debut, if he can transfer that form to turf.

Is sired by budding turf influence Country Day and his second dam was a decent turf horse.

4-1 on ML

Race 6: Collective Effort (#2)

Was eliminated when bumped from both sides at the start last time, and got rank thereafter.

Has had 10 chances, but has only made 3 turf starts during his career, and that’s clearly his preferred surface.

Should get a favorable stalking trip this time provided that he breaks cleanly.

5-2 on ML

Race 7: Mentality (#8)

Was shuffled back in the early going last time, but nevertheless closed powerfully in the lane.

Showed promise as a two-year-old when she set a fast pace before fading in the Jessamine.

Wesley Ward has been especially dangerous with his sprinters in recent weeks.

5-2 on ML
