Belmont Park Horses in Focus for Friday, May 11th

Race 1: Zechariah (#3)

Probably needed his debut after racing a bit greenly behind a moderate pace that held together.

Is bred to be a good runner as a half-brother to accomplished New York-bred Sanctify and Rectify.

Gets a positive rider switch to Jose Ortiz.

5-2 on ML

Race 3: Zeven  (#1)

The Pace Projector is predicting that she will be racing on a clear early lead.

Raced competitively at this level last year before heading to Florida.

Ran better than it seems last time after getting embroiled in a torrid early duel through fast fractions (indicated by red color-coded pace figures in PPs).

5-1 on ML

Race 8: Made You Look (#4)

Actually ran well in a few stakes races as a younger horse for his prior connections.

Chad Brown gets a 100 Trainer Rating with horses coming off layoffs of this type.

The Pace Projector is predicting he will get a fast pace to close into.

6-1 on ML
