Aqueduct Horses in Focus for Friday, April 6th

Race 1: Never Nevermore (#1)

Was compromised by a slow pace in his debut, indicated by blue color-coded pace figures in TimeformUS PPs.

May not have liked having to rally inside of horses in that first start.

DRF Formulator Fact: Over the past five years, David Donk is 6 for 18 (33 percent, $2.13 ROI) with maiden second time starters that finished in the money in their debuts.

3-1 on ML

Race 5: Polar City (#9)

The Pace Projector is predicting a situation that favors horses on or near the lead, and he is predicted to control the pace.

Requires a fast track if he is to have his best chance.

Paco Lopez is an expert at riding front-runners and new trainer David Duggan does a fine job.

7-2 on ML

Race 7: Rock Ave. Road (#11)

Ran better than it appears when getting poor trips in a number of her races against winners last year.

Should work out a good stalking trip in a race that does not feature a plethora of early speed.

Trainer Rodrigo Ubillo can have a horse ready to fire off a layoff.

5-1 on ML
