Saratoga Horses in Focus for Sunday August 6th

Race 2: Golden Orb (#5)

Orb has been a successful turf sire in a small sample of runners, and there’s some grass pedigree on the dam’s side.

Worked a fast 10 1/5 second furlong at the two-year-old sale this year.

DRF Formulator Fact: Over the past five years, Christophe Clement is 6 for 17 (35 percent, $5.10 ROI) with his two-year-old debut runners on turf at the Spa.

5-1 on ML

Race 4: Millies Party Boy (#8)

Made a premature move under a low-percentage rider in his lone start as a two-year-old.

Probably needed his return when facing a strong field of open maidens last time at Monmouth.

Is primarily a horse to use underneath, adding some value to trifectas and superfectas.

20-1 on ML

Race 9: Stormy’s Song (#5)

Was setting a fast pace (indicated by red color-coding in the PPs) when she broke her maiden.

Found a mile to be too far for her, and should appreciate this turnback in distance.

Brian Lynch gets a 97 TimeformUS Trainer Rating when using Joel Rosario.

4-1 on ML

I just cashed big with “Yummy Bear”and dare to say”Stormy’s Song”may come along but way too short for me.I don’t think it would be wasteful to bet”Tasteful”or even consider Lynch’s other.

Golden Orb sure shined as bright as the full moon last night. I was hoping for a better quinella.

I’m hoping Trump continues to improve, like his Namesake. There’s no liberals in horseracing, but they will notice.
