Belmont Horses in Focus for Saturday June 24th

Race 2:

Anna Liffey (#2)
Turned her head at the start and spotted the field almost 10 lengths last time.
Ran much better than it seems in her prior dirt start April 7 after getting shuffled back in traffic on the turn.
Will get overlooked in a field where the favorites appear to be vulnerable.
20-1 on ML

Race 6:
Wonderful Light (#2)

Michelle Nevin typically does better with second-time starters.
Closed well in his debut while getting steered down to the rail, which was not the best part of the track, in the stretch.
Half-brother to multiple graded stakes winner By the Moon has a right to improve.
8-1 on ML

Race 7:
Voodoo Song (#4)

Handled the turf well in his only start over the surface, winning in impressive fashion.
Mike Hushion gets an 87 TimeformUS Trainer Rating with runners going from dirt to turf.
Is drawn well toward the inside in a race where the first turn comes up quickly.
12-1 on ML
