Belmont Horses in Focus for Thursday June 15th

Race 4:

Kitty Maddnes (#4)

Was blocked in traffic during the stretch drive last time.

Showed that she was good enough to win a race at this level last year.

Should get a fair pace to close into with a couple of key speed types in the field.

5-2 on ML

Race 7:

Free N Clear (#8)

Has been overmatched in her recent starts in 2017.

Ran plenty of races last year that suggest she can compete at this level.

Should appreciate getting back on a firmer turf course.

20-1 on ML

Race 9:

California Swing (#1)

Is more of a turf horse despite making recent starts on dirt.

Was blocked in traffic down inside in the stretch of his only turf route attempt.

DRF Formulator Fact: Over the past five years, Clement is 8 for 12 (67 percent) with a $6.40 ROI with horses going from dirt to turf in maiden claiming company.

12-1 on ML
