Belmont Horses in Focus for Wednesday May 17th

Race 4

Summer of Joy (#3)

Likely favorite Zuzanna is trained by Graham Motion, who does poorly with runners dropping form allowance to claiming company.

Got a peculiar ride last time, getting taken too far back off the pace early before racing greenly late.

Should be more forwardly placed this time in a race lacking much speed.

10-1 on morning line

Race 5

Louisiana Lady (#7)

Ran her best race sprinting on turf as a 2-year-old and may have improved since then.

Her return effort at Aqueduct was better than it appears, considering her unusual trip.

Gets a positive rider switch to Mike Luzzi.

15-1 on morning line

Race 8

Adventist (#2)

Showed ability despite racing greenly early in his career and now seems to have put it all together on turf.

Was visually impressive when inhaling the leaders in the stretch of his turf debut at Gulfstream.

DRF Formulator fact: Over the past five years, Mike Maker is 117 for 401 (29 percent) for a $2.09 ROI with turf routers coming off wins.

7-2 on morning line
