Aqueduct Horses in Focus for Friday January 27th

Race 3:

Timber (#4)

Overcame a strong rail bias when rallying wide to win on Dec. 17.

Chris Englehart gets a 91 TimeformUS Trainer Rating second off the claim.

His dirt races are better than they appear, and his last was likely not a fluke.

2-1 on ML

Race 4:

No Hayne No Gayne (#10)

Was four-wide around the far turn and into the stretch last time on a day when you were better off saving ground.

According to DRF Formulator, progeny of Haynesfield win 19% of their dirt route attempts, a strong number for any sire.

Steve Asmussen gets an 82 TimeformUS Trainer Rating with runners trying a route for the first time.

5-2 on ML

Race 8:

Storm Cell (#9)

Strongly disliked wet tracks in her last two starts, and deserves another chance on fast going.

Ran well in her return race in November despite racing down inside on the worst part of the track.

Carlos Martin gets an 86 TimeformUS Trainer Rating with runners stretching out from sprints to routes.

12-1 on ML
