Hand-selected by The TimeformUS team, Horses in Focus stand out on our feature sets, such as pace projector, TimeformUS speed figures, spotlight ratings, trainer ratings, pedigree ratings, etc. Expect to see TimeformUS Horses in Focus on this blog typically every Wednesday-Sunday. If Horses in Focus are available for tracks with a later post-time, they will be added to this post throughout the day.
Tale of S’avall (#2)
Was unwisely rushed up to chase a fast pace after breaking slowly in the Woody Stephens.
Has been showing subtle improvement with racing this year.
Should get a fair pace to close into with three potential speeds signed on.
15/1 on ML
Highland Sky (#4)
Raced five-wide all the way around the turn in the Pennine Ridge; was undoubtedly best that day.
Bred to handle this distance.
Has by far the best Late Pace rating in the race (among the Americans).
8/1 on ML
Kiaran McLaughlin gets a 97 trainer rating with horses moving from routes to sprints.
Made a middle move to challenge for the lead in the Met Mile; held on decently thereafter.
Is drawn well outside of the other speed; may alleviate his gate issues.
4/1 on ML
