Horses in Focus At Aqueduct and Santa Anita on Saturday April 9nd

Hand-selected by The TimeformUS team, Horses in Focus stand out on our feature sets, such as pace projector, TimeformUS speed figures, spotlight ratings, trainer ratings, pedigree ratings, etc. Expect to see TimeformUS Horses in Focus on this blog typically every Wednesday-Sunday. If Horses in Focus are available for tracks with a later post-time, they will be added to this post throughout the day.

Race 3:

Good Luck Gus (#5)
Does best when he can stay close to the pace; that should be the case today.
Has plenty of stamina, so distance should be no problem.
Has been working strongly since his last win.
10/1 on ML
Race 8:
Dreams to Reality (#4)
Would benefit from a contested pace between Clair de Lune and Behrnik’s Bank.
Resented racing inside of horses last time; was very green.
If the rain comes prior to post time, it might help.
20/1 on ML
Race 10:
Matt King Coal (#6)
Should be on or near the lead in a race that does not feature an abundance of speed.
Linda Rice gets a 90 rating with horses making their second start back from a layoff.
Rice also gets a 95 rating with horses moving from allowance to stakes company.
3/1 on ML

Race 5:

Decked Out, the 1 horse:

Awful trip in last start.

Still earned competitive speed figure of 101.

Not really facing tougher here.

8-1 on ML
Race 6:

Ready to Hula Lula, the 1 horse:

Pace Projector shows her on a clear early lead.

Earned strong speed figure of 91 last time.

Trainer gets 93 rating with this rider.
Race 10:

Tough But Nice, the 6 horse:

Pace Projector shows him on a clear early lead in a race projected to favor speed.

Has run strong speed figures in his last two races.

Training very well for this.

3-1 on ML
