Horses in Focus At Aqueduct and Santa Anita on Friday April 1st

Hand-selected by The TimeformUS team, Horses in Focus stand out on our feature sets, such as pace projector, TimeformUS speed figures, spotlight ratings, trainer ratings, pedigree ratings, etc. Expect to see TimeformUS Horses in Focus on this blog typically every Wednesday-Sunday. If Horses in Focus are available for tracks with a later post-time, they will be added to this post throughout the day.

Race 6:

Lehigh Five (#1)
Made an eye-catching late run last time in a race that did not exactly fall apart.
Aaron Gryder has figured out how to ride him: take back and make one run.
Should appreciate the stretch-out to seven furlongs.
4/1 on ML
Race 7:
Clifton Pleasure (#6)
Was hindered by a slow pace (color-coded in blue) and an intensely rail-biased surface last time.
Projected to get a fast pace to close into this time.
Jeremiah Englehart gets a 98 trainer rating with horses moving from claiming to allowance company.
8/1 on ML

Race 5:

Tripski, the 9 horse:

Peter Miller gets a 91 rating when bringing horses back on very short rest.

He gets a 94 rating first off the claim.

He gets a 98 rating with this rider.

6-1 on ML.
Race 8:

Miss Gifted, the 1 horse:

Has the fastest last-out speed figure in the field: a 106.

Has been facing much tougher horses recently.

Seemed to handle the distance in her only route try.

3-1 on ML.
