DontLetTheGamePassYouByfortfus

Hand-selected by The TimeformUS team, Horses in Focus stand out on our feature sets, such as pace projector, TimeformUS speed figures, spotlight ratings, trainer ratings, pedigree ratings, etc. Expect to see TimeformUS Horses in Focus on this blog typically every Wednesday-Sunday. If Horses in Focus are available for tracks with a later post-time, they will be added to this post throughout the day.

AQUEDUCT

Race 1:

Moondance Joy (#2)
Ran very well against a similar field two back, closing into a fast pace.
Showed improved early speed last time, which bodes well in a race lacking pace.
Chris Englehart, a 63-rated first-off-the-claim trainer, gets a 100 trainer rating second off the claim.
5/1 on ML

Race 3:

My Man Sam (#3)
Was visually impressive last time, the only horse to make a late run from the back of the pack.
Earned the highest last-out speed figure, an excellent 113, when breaking his maiden.
His chief rival, Matt King Coal, goes out for Linda Rice, who gets just a 68 trainer rating off layoffs of this type.
5/2 on ML

Race 5:

Moon Over a Beauty (#1)
Overcame a rail bias to win his debut.
Was against race dynamics after breaking slowly last time.
Earned a competitive speed figure despite the trip in his most recent start; has upside.
15/1 on ML

Race 7:

Dreamsdocometrue (#1)
Has been improving with each start this winter.
Ran better than it appears two back when overcoming a very slow pace.
The lofty 109 speed figure that he earned last time was validated by Swell’s subsequent performance.
3/1 on ML

Pace Projector shows him just off the early lead.

Handles dirt very well.

Powerful speed figure of 107 last time.
