Should not be that far off a pace projected to favor horses on or near the lead.

Is dropping out of a significantly tougher spot.
Can work out a forwardly placed early position in a race filled with plodders.

Earned a 120 speed figure for his excellent Toboggan effort, one of the highest in the field.
Had excuses in initial starts back for Chris Englehart; seem to finally be back on track.
Has handled wet surfaces in the past.

Ran one of the best speed figures in the field three races ago, over a sloppy track.
Has had excuses in his last two starts.
Gets a mildly positive rider switch.
8/1 on ML


Race 5:

Valdosta Love, the 7 horse:

Firster has been training like a runner.

Trainer gets 87 rating with this rider.

Lands in unimposing field.

4-1 on ML.
Race 8:

Reliable Source, the 2 horse:

Has adequate grass breeding.

Has competitive speed figures.

Lightly raced and training very well for this.

6-1 on ML.
