Horses in Focus At Aqueduct and Santa Anita on Friday February 12th

Hand-selected by The TimeformUS team, Horses in Focus stand out on our feature sets, such as pace projector, TimeformUS speed figures, spotlight ratings, trainer ratings, pedigree ratings, etc. Expect to see TimeformUS Horses in Focus on this blog typically every Wednesday-Sunday. If Horses in Focus are available for tracks with a later post-time, they will be added to this post throughout the day.

Race 3:

One More Song (#2)
Overcome trouble at the start to win last time.
Possesses tactical speed; shouldn’t be pace-compromised.
John Toscano gets a 100 trainer rating with claimers moving up in class by 50% or more.
6/1 on ML
Race 5:
Hey Bro (#5)
All the speeds signed on should ensure an honest pace, potentially setting things up for a closer.
Was hindered by slow paces in each of his last two starts.
Danny Gargan gets a 100 trainer rating when he rides Kendrick Carmouche.
7/2 on ML
Race 6:
Paradise Peak (#7)
Has been a new horse since returning from the layoff last fall.
Last race may be slightly better than the speed figure suggests, considering who beat her.
Connections have finally figured out how she needs to be ridden.
6/1 on ML

Race 2:

Orion’s Belt, the 3 horse:

Ran a strong 96 speed figure on grass.

His debut, on dirt, was no disgrace.

Training very well for this.

Trainer gets 88 rating with third-time starters.

8-1 on ML.
Race 5:

Lord of Chaos, the 4 horse:

Pace Projector shows him on a clear early lead.

Earned competitive speed figure of 101 in debut.

Talamo keeps the mount and Koriner puts this gelding right back on the hill.

7-2 on ML.
