In the main body of the field, One Sharp Cat (#8) looks like the horse to beat. She makes her first start off the claim by Linda Rice, who gets an 88 rating with new acquisitions.
Shift Change (#9) drops out of a MSW and has every right to improve second time out. She did little in her debut, but she can certainly improve on that debut figure of 69. Yet we prefer a different second-time starter:
SILLY FACE (#11) looked very much like a horse who needed her debut.
After racing greenly much of the way, she found her best stride late and actually made the lead on the gallop-out. We like the rider switch to Jose Ortiz (92 rating with this trainer) and suspect that Silly Face will show more early speed today. Trainer Tom Morley gets just a 22 trainer rating with horses making their debuts, but that number climbs to 77 when they make their second starts.
Win bet on SILLY FACE (#11).
