DontLetTheGamePassYouByfortfus

Hand-selected by The TimeformUS team, Horses in Focus stand out on our feature sets, such as pace projector, TimeformUS speed figures, spotlight ratings, trainer ratings, pedigree ratings, etc. Expect to see TimeformUS Horses in Focus on this blog typically every Wednesday-Sunday. If Horses in Focus are available for tracks with a later post-time, they will be added to this post throughout the day.

AQUEDUCT

Race 2:

Extinct Charm (#1)

Earned a competitive 94 speed figure last time.

Has improved with stretch-out in distance; handles two turns.

Should be sitting in a good spot behind the two stretching-out speed types.

10/1 on ML

Race 7:

Native George (#5)

Has been improving in recent starts.

Earned an excellent 105 speed figure two back.

May have disliked being angled down to the rail in the stretch last time.

8/1 on ML

Race 9:

Successful Brothers (#1)

Jason Servis gets a 100 rating second off the claim and a 98 rating going turf to dirt.

Improved in Servis’s barn last time despite making a wide middle move.

Handles dirt as well as turf.

5/1 on ML

SANTA ANITA

Race 5:

Danzing Candy, the 3 horse:

Ton of trouble in debut.

Still ran solid speed figure of 88.

Trainer is much better second time out.

7-2 on ML.

Race 7:

Hot City Girl, the 2 horse:

Pace Projector shows her on a clear early lead in a race projected to favor speed.

Ran a powerful speed figure of 118 in her last start.

Trained well over this surface a week ago.

3-1 on ML.
