Horses in Focus At Aqueduct and Del Mar on Friday November 27th

Hand-selected by The TimeformUS team, Horses in Focus stand out on our feature sets, such as pace projector, TimeformUS speed figures, spotlight ratings, trainer ratings, pedigree ratings, etc. Expect to see TimeformUS Horses in Focus on this blog typically every Wednesday-Sunday. If Horses in Focus are available for tracks with a later post-time, they will be added to this post throughout the day.

Race 2:

Apache Warrior (#3)

Prefers shorter distances, but ran well against tougher competition at a mile last time.

Recent dirt speed figures are faster than those of his competition.

Jeremiah Englehart gets a 100 trainer rating with horses racing second off the claim.

4/1 on ML

Race 6:

Half Dreamin (#2)

Eventful trip in debut; racing in traffic for much of the way.

Bred to do better on dirt.

Linda Rice gets a 99 trainer rating with second-time starters and a 91 rating with horses switching from turf to dirt.

8/1 on ML

Race 9:

Cliffs of Dover (#10)

Got an uncomfortable trip in last turf race and ran better than it appears.

Last race was just a prep; should improve moving back to turf.

Projected to get a fast pace to close into.

6/1 on ML

Race 3:

Bolt Up, the 9 horse:

Has the fastest last-out speed figure in the field: an 86.

Improved her speed figure off the layoff.

Training well for this.

3-1 on ML.
Race 5:

Scatchmeifyoucan, the 3 horse:

Pace Projector shows her on a clear early lead.

Has the fastest last-out speed figure in the field: an 85.

Broke rather poorly and rushed up last time.

4-1 on ML.
