TimeformUS Horses in Focus for Saturday June 28th

Hand-selected by The TimeformUS team, Horses in Focus stand out on our feature sets, such as pace projector, TimeformUS speed figures, spotlight ratings, trainer ratings, pedigree ratings, etc. Expect to see TimeformUS Horses in Focus on this blog every Wednesday-Sunday. If Horses in Focus are available for tracks with a later post-time, they will be added to this post throughout the day.

Belmont Race 1:

#5 Round

Well-bred, well-connected colt makes 3yo debut today.

Ran very well in only start at 2 while wide throughout on a rail-and speed-favoring track.

Is first-time lasix today.

7/2 on ML.
Belmont Race 6:

#11 Abbey Street

Has run figures that are not far off those of the favorites in this field.

Improved in first start for her new barn at Keeneland.

No chance when totally blocked through the stretch last time, trouble that was missed by the chart caller.

20/1 on ML.
Belmont Race 7:

#6 Pinball

Didn’t show his speed against a strong field when back to dirt last time, but projects to be up on the pace today in a race that favors those tactics.

Won three dirt races in a row before being laid off and then switched to grass.

Likely to offer value in this spot.

8/1 on ML.
Belmont Race 10:

#10 Majestic Raffy

Tough trip after making premature wide run into a slow pace last time.

Projects to have a fast pace to close into today.

Goes first off the claim for a very dangerous trainer.

4/1 on ML

Monmouth Race 3

#6 Jamaicanme Zealous

Nice debut when showing speed against the bias.

Doesn’t have to improve much in second start to win here.

5-1 on ML
Monmouth Race 10

#2 Subpoena

Has closed into soft paces in last 3 efforts.

Extra 1/16th of a mile should benefit her today.

Top spotlight figure of 88.

5-1 on ML
Monmouth Race 11

#6 Lady Cohiba

Should get a less-cluttered trip versus last time, when she had trouble at the start.

This is also a softer spot than last time.

Use with #3 Firenze Feeling, who will try to steal on the front end.

5/2 on ML

Santa Anita Race 2:

Clubhouse Rock, the 8 horse:

Earned competitive speed figures, 80 and then 78, in his last two starts.

Had serious trouble in both races.

Projects for a nice stalking trip today.

10-1 on the ML.
Santa Anita Race 7:

Morning Fix, the 4 horse:

Has the best last-out speed figure in the race: a 98.

Projects to be mid-pack early in a race expected to have a fast pace.

Rider has had some success with Hollendorfer in their limited pairings.

5-1 on ML.
Santa Anita Race 9:

My Friend Jimmy, the 7 horse:

Projects to be in last-place early in a race expected to have a destructive pace.

Earned strong speed figure of 100 before his layoff.

Training as if he is ready, and his trainer gets a 92 rating off layoffs.

12-1 on ML.
