Hand-selected by The TimeformUS team, Horses in Focus stand out on our feature sets, such as pace projector, TimeformUS speed figures, spotlight ratings, trainer ratings, pedigree ratings, etc. Expect to see TimeformUS Horses in Focus on this blog every Wednesday-Sunday. If Horses in Focus are available for tracks with a later post-time, they will be added to this post throughout the day.

Aqueduct Race 5:

#8 Share ‘n Stone

Puts races together without a layoff line for first time.

Spent majority of last two races on a dead rail.

Has debut effort to build upon, and earned a figure there that doesn’t leave her much to find vs. this field.

12/1 on ML.

Aqueduct Race 7:

#10 Agate

Put in sharp wide run after getting away last in debut, on a day that strongly favored horses on lead and on the rail.

Caught slop for well-bet second start and couldn’t get to runaway front-runner in the stretch.

Adds blinkers and gets a rider change for this.

7/2 on ML.

Aqueduct Race 8:

#9 G Note

Lone turf start came in debut, where she appeared to be prepping but put in a nice run through the stretch.

Pedigree for distance, and second dam was a Grade 1 winner on grass.

Had no chance trip in 3yo debut; expecting a step forward.

Pace Projector indicates there could be a scramble up front.

8/1 on ML.

Santa Anita Race 3:

Rhodium, the 4 horse:

Ran strong 93 speed figure in last start.

Did so while fighting speed bias.

9-2 on ML.

Santa Anita Race 5:

Fly to Freedom, the 8 horse:

Figures to make the lead in here.

Trainer gets 96 rating off layoffs.

Training well for this.

5-2 on ML.

Santa Anita Race 9:

Cleverly Beverly, the 6 horse:

Pace Projector shows with nice stalking trip.

Appreciate return to sprint.

Has best last-out speed figure in the race: a 73.

4-1 on ML.
