TimeformUS Horses in Focus for Friday

Hand-selected by The TimeformUS team, Horses in Focus stand out on our feature sets, such as pace projector, TimeformUS speed figures, spotlight ratings, trainer ratings, pedigree ratings, etc. Expect to see TimeformUS Horses in Focus on this blog every Wednesday-Sunday. If Horses in Focus are available for tracks with a later post-time, they will be added to this post throughout the day.

Keeneland, Race 3 – Dissension, #7

Impressive win in well-bet synth debut.

Earned best last-out synth figure despite being five wide on turn.

Trainer has rating of 87 with similar short spacing; 78 with claimers moving up 50%.

4-1 morning line.

Keeneland, Race 4 – Gentlemans Code, #8

Two dominant wins in as many synth sprint tries, one on this track.

Figures earned in those races fit very well in this spot.

Pace Projector places him forwardly in race favoring horse on/near early lead.

Trainer has perfect rating of 100 with horses going turf to synth.

3-1 morning line.

Keeneland, Race 9 – Hangover Kid, #4

Owns co-best Spotlight figure in field (111).

With 2nd best late pace rating and good efforts at 1 3/8 miles, should like added ground.

Trainer has rating of 100 with horses running second time of layoff.

10-1 morning line.

Keeneland, Race 10 – Let it Slam, #7

Good effort after poor start in well-bet debut.

Pedigree rating of 80 for synthetic routes.

Trainer has rating of 94 with horse going from dirt to synth.

Nice works on Polytrack at Turfway.

12-1 morning line.

Aqueduct Race 2:

#1 Revealing Moment

Ran much better than it looks last time after putting in a five-wide run through the turn into a pace that collapsed.

Gets a positive rider change today.

Pace Projector has her fast enough to make the lead in a race that should favor horses up close.

Will be a very big price in a race lacking a scary favorite.

20/1 ML.

Aqueduct Race 5:

#6 Mental Iceberg

81 TFUS speed figure for debut win makes him competitive here, and he earned that number as a 2yo.

Acquitted himself well in some tough spots on dirt since.

Back to best surface and will be a price.

8/1 on ML.

Aqueduct Race 9:

#4 Annie Walker

Adds blinkers, a strong move for the barn, after breaking slowly and racing greenly both turf starts at Gulfstream.

Getting some much needed class relief facing NY-breds for the first time.

6/1 on ML.
