TimeformUS Horses in Focus for Saturday

Hand-selected by The TimeformUS team, Horses in Focus stand out on our feature sets, such as pace projector, TimeformUS speed figures, spotlight ratings, trainer ratings, pedigree ratings, etc. Expect to see TimeformUS Horses in Focus on this blog every Wednesday-Sunday. If Horses in Focus are available for tracks with a later post-time, they will be added to this post throughout the day.

Aqueduct Race 9

My Miss Sophia, #4:

Pace Projector puts her on clear early lead in race favoring speed.

Has best last-out speed figure in the race by a large margin.

Won last in supremely impressive style.

9-5 on ML.

Aqueduct Race 10:

Samraat, #8:

Speed figures improving with distance.

Comes in off two solid figures, both 108, and was visually impressive in last.

Handy colt can work out trip from bad post.

Exits race that earned relatively strong Race Rating of 108.

7-2 on ML.

Aqueduct Race 11:

Clearly Now, #2:

Pace Projector shows him with nice stalking trip.

Trainer gets solid rating of 81 off this sort of layoff.

Has competitive speed figures.

5-1 on ML.

Keeneland, Race 2 – Horned Frog, #1

Record of 3-1-2-0 in routes over this surface, with highly competitive top figure of 96.

Trainer has overall rating of 98 at Keeneland, and for horses going dirt to synth.

Otherwise sharp recent form before being pulled up on dirt vs better in last.  If you can overlook that….

9-5 morning line.

Keeneland, Race 3 – Favorite Coach, #6

Much improved early speed in last, second time blinkers on.

Cuts back to sprint; pedigree rating of 82 for synthetic sprints.

First race over track, but has trained steadily over surface over last six months.

12-1 morning line.

Keeneland, Race 9 – Rosalind, #8

Solid effort over surface last year, a wide second in Grade 1 stakes.

Pace Projector predicts Fast Pace which should suit her closing style (2nd best late pace figure in field).

Trainer has overall rating of 91 at Keeneland; 92 in synthetic routes.

15-1 morning line.

Keeneland, Race 10 – Satisfaction, #4

Backers couldn’t get none when missed by nose in last, earning competitive figure of 92.

Pace Projector suggests her preferred stalking trip right behind leader.

Half-sister to graded marathon turf stakes winner Dancing Forever should love extra distance.

Trainer has rating of 99 for turf routes.

2-1 morning line.

Santa Anita Race 1:

Reno Rebel, the 2 horse:

Ran strong 96 speed figure in last race despite difficult trip.

Pace Projector shows him getting nice inside stalking trip today.

Trainer gets 98 rating when using this rider.

7-2 on ML.
Santa Anita Race 8:

Candy Boy, the 6 horse:

Earned solid speed figure of 102 in last start.

Should appreciate added distance today.

Sadler gets 82 rating with comparable spacing between starts.

9-5 on ML.
Santa Anita Race 9:

Gallant Charm, the 3 horse:

Pace Projector projects fast pace in this race.

Gallant Charm should be well back early.

Received awful trip in last start and still ran strong speed figure of 90.

4-1n on ML.
