Some powerful trainer angles are in play for Tiny Predicament (7/2 morning line) in the nightcap.

Trainer Rudy Rodriguez is what we call an alchemist. He is brilliant with new acquisitions to his barn, and he is often able to turn the base metal into gold. Indeed, he has Trainer Ratings of 100 (the maximum) with horses first off the claim and first time in his barn.

“Rudy Rod” is based at Aqueduct year-round. His horses train there in the morning and his statistics show they enjoy a bit of a home field advantage when they race there.

The statistics also strongly show that Rudy specializes with horses who get 31-to-60 day freshenings between starts.

Tiny Predicament meets all of the general criteria in terms of Rudy’s specialities.

Indeed, throughout his training career, Rudy Rodriguez is 35-for-82 (43% wins) with an absolutely mind-blowing $4.50 ROI when he sends one out at Aqueduct first off the trainer change after a 31-to-60-day layoff.

Tiny Predicament is competitive on speed figures. His last-out speed figure of 89 is only two points shy of being the best in the field. However, we expect him to show vast improvement over his prior form.

For exotic-wagering purposes, we turn to the Pace Projector, which has been excellent the last few days at Aqueduct.

A pair of 20/1 morning line horses both have very interesting looks and could really help spice up the exotics. Luxury Appeal (#5) was victimized by one of those Boston Strangler rides last time out, when inexplicably taken back behind a slow pace. He has very competitive figures two and four starts back, and the Pace Projector indicates he’s quick enough to get a good trip on or near the easy pace.

Make A Dream (#12) is the other huge longshot with some appeal. He owns competitive speed figures and a forward running style, but will have to translate that Finger Lakes form to Aqueduct.

We will also throw in Silent Thunder, who projects a good trip and goes for the David Jacobson machine.

Betting Strategy: Win bet on Tiny Predicament. Luxury Appeal, Silent Thunder, and Make A Dream are the horses to use underneath in exotic wagers.
